Passionate guitarist for 5 years now. This wrist pain has started and making it stop is my only goal.

So just a few days ago i was hit really hard with this pain in my right hand (strumming Hand).
i knew for a while that i was holding my guitar wrong and i was in the process of fixing my posture but it seems i may have been a little to late.
now for the pain, the pain itself is really mild as of now, but i have this weak, numb feeling crawling all around my arm. going from my wrist to my fore arm even to my shoulder.
almost like an ache. but i cant play guitar for long, less then a few minutes. but everything else seems to be tolerable. but the tension is pretty strong. not to the point were im going crazy but definitly to a point where i'm worried.
i have been working on fixing my posture and trying the ice dipping/massage thing as well but i was wondering besides the magnesium problem i have read about if there is anything else i should work on or look into to help keep it down and prevent it.

Hello Sebastien.
Yep. Let's get you out of pain.
Absolutely get to your tolerance level of Magnesium as described on the Magnesium Dosage page.
Definitely figure out how to play ergonomically better. I'm no help there.
I of course am going to suggest that you may want to get the Reversing Guitar Tendonitis ebook. It's got everything you need, and everything that I would say, to show you how you can get your wrists and arms in playing shape again.
So.
Better posture. Magnesium. Gentle stretching frequently and often. And Icing as described on the How To Reduce Inflammation page.
The thing about Guitar Tendonitis is that guitar players get a deep in the forearm 'stuckness' that, say, keyboard typers and mousers don't get.
You need to open up those deep structures. And keep them open.
